Modern man’s creed I believe in gold the dollar Almighty maker of nearly everything desirable on earth. I believe in success measured by salary I believe in getting ahead. If this means getting ahead of other fellow well, I am sorry for him but can’t be helped. I believe that business is business I believe in doing good in the world but not to the extent of giving till it hurts. I believe that my own sins, which are not many, ought to be forgiven by a just and merciful God, but if any body sins against me he had better look out. I believe in loving people who love me, and in being good to people who are good to me. I believe first and last and always in having good time. I sincerely hope that my good time won’t rob any body else of their good time; but if it does, well, once more, I am sorry, but it can’t be helped.
